1659

Peter Noyes and Abraham Wood built a gristmill on Hop Brook at Mill Village. It provided ground grain, sawed wood, and processed cloth. Making the area a thriving agriculture area.

1676

The mill serves as refuge for the survivors of the Battle of Green Hill, a historic battle of King Philip’s War, which was fought down the street.

1794

Water power is refined and a new ‘modern’ saw and grist mill are built at this site.

1889

Business booms, south Sudbury becomes an industrial and manufacturing hub.

1910

The Sudbury Minutemen gather at this location for a photograph before they march on to Marlborough.

1923

Henry Ford takes an interest and invests in the property as part of his vision to transform Sudbury into a colonial-style village.

1999

A devastating fire breaks out destroying 19 of the local small businesses, amazingly ten return.

2018

Duck Soup begins producing the famous former NECCO's Sky Bar candy onsite.

2024

Historic Mill Village serves as stop #17 of Sudbury Historical Society’s Car Tour.
